Lift a full 22-gallon tote by its handles and the lid comes with it. The handles fold over and snap onto the lid, so they do the latching and the carrying at once.

On the outside each tote measures 23.75 by 18 by 17.25 inches. A sleeping bag, a camp stove and a lantern fit in one. In the attic, a tote of winter coats stays closed and free of dust.

The lid is recessed, so a second tote stacks firmly on the first. Empty, the four bins nest together and wait for the next move or season.
